Compact therapeutic apparatus based on the semiconductor laser

«SNUG-SENS-K» is a compact therapeutic apparatus based on the semiconductor laser with length of wave λ = 670 nm which is used for methods of photoregular therapy and methods of intracavitary photodynamic therapy.

Therapeutic apparatus «SNUG-SENS» is characterized by higher density of laser radiation of "red" spectral zone which provides photoregular therapy with maximum deep penetration of radiation into tissue and also provides intracavitary photodynamic therapy of malignant tumors and their diagnosis with the help of photosensitizer «Photolon» (the main component is chlorin e6).

The efficiency of using laser radiation with medium power 1-10 mW (regardless of mode – pulse or continuous) for medical treatment of pathologies caused by deep localization of lesion focus usually doesn’t satisfy neither a doctor nor a patient. This problem is successfully solved in apparatus «SNUG-SENS» due to use of laser radiation with medium power up to 300 mW.

Lower radiation densities can be used for therapy for surface localization of pathological center which is achieved due to 8 stages of discrete regulation of output radiation power available in apparatus.

In contrast to apparatus produced by other companies apparatus «SNUG-SENS» has special optics which provides getting collimated (not divergent) laser beam. This also promotes the increase (in comparison with analogs) of depth of radiation penetration into tissue.

Distinguishing feature of apparatus «SNUG-SENS» is an opportunity to use a lightguide instrument to give larger power to the thin channels. It is more effective to use the lightguide instrument for working on large areas (proctology, stomatology) as high power of apparatus provides optimal power density.

The apparatus is reliable and easy to operate; it does not require special grounding.

The apparatus has a built – in timer providing the switching-off of the laser on completion of the previous procedure of laser therapy. The correspondence of the radiation power at the apparatus output to the required value is checked and verified by the display system.
